Preparing for the Academic Support Meeting

The following information will help you prepare for the initial meeting, as well as help you know what to expect before, during, and after the meeting. The button below contains a checklist that should be downloaded and used in gathering the necessary information prior to the meeting and outline the process of academic support.

The goal of Bethlehem's RtI (Academic Support) program is to provide students with a plan that utilizes research-based instructional strategies to maximize students' achievement and growth.  However, there are situations that require more information gathering and further assessments.  Some families choose to pursue private assessments to gather more information.  Other families choose to work with the Colorado Department of Education's Child Find process.  The Reading Specialist and classroom teacher are always willing to help your family through the process of further testing whether you choose to find a private assessor or a public school Child Find assessor.
